１．はじめに
このドキュメントでは，RedHat Linux 7.2に，Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprisee
12.5 for Linuxをインストールする手順を示す．
２．/etc/hostsファイルの確認と編集
- ASEが稼動するマシンの/etc/hostsファイルを確認する．
bash-2.05$ cat /etc/hosts
# Do not remove the following line, or various programs
# that require network functionality will fail.
127.0.0.1 gx150 localhost.localdomain localhost

- ホスト名"gx150"が，127.0.0.1として定義してあるので，このままだとリモートマシンからASEに接続することができない．
- よって，hostsファイルを次のように編集する．
bash-2.05$ cat /etc/hosts
# Do not remove the following line, or various programs
# that require network functionality will fail.
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
10.0.4.3 gx150
bash-2.05$

- 127.0.0.1の行にあるgx150のエントリを削除する．
- 新たにサーバのIPアドレス（10.0.4.3）を示すgx150のエントリを追加する．
- これを実施した後，ASEを再起動する．
